Back in 2006 there was nothing like this in Sacramento neighborhood. And now I am so happy that tiger bar has come to support local artists in the hip hop genre as well as current days create a space for hip hop dance battles to happen in the public eye.
Me and my friends won a free booth at Tiger last weekend and although we got a complimentary bottle, our server Allie went above and beyond to make us feel special! She made our fun night and our girl's birthday even more amazing. Very attentive despite the busy atmosphere. Good job allie 😍 Tiger always knows how to do it right!
LOVE Tiger! Discovered Tiger five years ago when I first moved to Sac and it remains one of my favorite go to spots. The staff is friendly and welcoming, food is delicious, and music is always on point. Check it out for happy hour, dinner (such a great value for a multi course meal), drinks, and/or a night out and dancing!
The waitress brought me first the wrong beer. Took long to give me the right beer. We ordered the triple orange chicken which was good but our honey walnut shrimp was incomplete only had 4 shrimp with their skin and the rest without the shrimp simulating like it was actual shrimp AND for 19 bucks the plate was very unsatisfied because they charged me the full price didn't want to go half on it since it was missing the shrimp. Last, to top it off, the waitress took my only beer I had ordered without out me finishing it.
Great food great service. Walked right in without a reservation on New Year’s Eve. For cocktail I highly recommend the cold fashion. Old fashion with a cold brew coffee taste. All good was delicious. Half chicken not pictured was delicious
We recently visited Tiger to have dinner on a bachelorette trip. The drinks were good, the food was good. But the service was what really made the experience. Ally was our server and truthfully made our whole experience great. We were a bachelorette party, so we were loud and obnoxious and I’m sure pretty annoying. She laughed with us and provided excellent service. She even brought us out complimentary champagne for the bride. She deserves serious praise! Thank you Ally for making it a great night 🩵
I give it a 3.5/5.
I love that there's no dress code. There's a bar and lounge area on both floors. The drinks look cool and taste great. I haven't tried the food, so I can't vouch for that. On Thursday nights, there are dance battles.
The entire setup is a bit weird to me— the dance floor, the lounge area on the 2nd floor, and the restrooms. The dance floor is right in front of the stairwell. A lot of people weren't dancing because some started forming a circle and dominating the middle. The music wasn't "club music" to me, as in it wasn't something that I wanted to dance to. Sitting near the rails on the 2nd floor, I really couldn't see the dance floor below even though it's designed to do so. The restroom has a large mirror, but I wish it had better lighting (for people to take selfies).
What's not cool is that a friend of a friend was groped by the photographer here. Apparently, Tiger is aware, but continues to allow this photographer to work here 🥴 Also, parking isn't cheap for this area.
Allie was our server for our VIP Booth for our dear friends birthday and pulled out all the stops. She paid so much attention to every little detail and set up the cutest table with cute decorations. She really made this a night my friends and I will never forget.
